In the future, as a professional company in CNBG's diagnostics sector, GeneoDx will continue to focus on the core fields of molecular diagnostics, expand its fields to Chemiluminescence analysis(CLIA), POCT and Immunoassay, build competitive product lines and marketing networks, to become a well-known enterprise in China's medical diagnostic industry.

In 2022, a number of medical laboratories was established, including Shanghai GeneoDx Medical Laboratory, Shanghai GeneoDx Vizenen Medical Laboratory, Beijing GeneoDx Medical Laboratory and Lanzhou Medical Laboratory, to establish a national third-party medical laboratory with characteristics in tumor and pathogenic microorganism detection.

In 2021, the company acquired Yaxin Biotech Co, Ltd., an animal-free recombinant biomedical enzyme manufacturer, and committed itself to the localization and standardization of CNBG enzymes to alleviate the "bottleneck" problem.

In 2020, GeneoDx was among the first groups to obtain the registration certificate of novel coronavirus detection kits. The subsidiary GeneSc has been established to introduce the rapid nucleic acid detection technology of novel coronavirus and is committed to promoting the research and development of home self-testing reagents and supporting instruments.

In 2019 GeneoDx acquired PathoFinder in the Netherlands to establish an overseas research and development base, imported four fungi and fungal resistance detection techniques; cooperated with Huashan Hospital and Fudan University to develop reagent projects for the development of four patent technologies for serious drug rash related gene testing.

In 2018, GeneoDx introduced cervical cancer methylation detection technology, multiple encephalitis meningitis, intestinal and venereal acid detection technology, which has enriched the product line.

In 2017, the company moved from Changchun to Shanghai and changed its name to Shanghai GeneoDx Biotech Co., Ltd. At the same time, it completed the mixed ownership reform, which energized the company by the way of core employee ownership; introduced nucleic acid detection technology of multiple respiratory pathogens, and started the transformation road from a trading company to a research and development company.
